We will be working harder this year on pursuing these guys! Halibut is a fishery we have always considered supplemental to our much more exciting salmon fishery, but you have spoken! We will be taking some longer day trips for those interested to more productive halibut grounds this year when the beautiful weather allows.

Some of our favourite tools of the trade over the past years.

We have used @gibbsfishing gear over our whole lifetime as they are one of the few sport fishing companies around that are actually older than us. We have been very happy to formalize our relationship over the past two years and work on their prostaff, getting the word out about the most solid gear available, with a focus on authenticity that we find paramount.

The culinary experience at our lodge is quite amazing, and something we have taken very seriously since day 1. Our chefs create meals that are expertly crafted, adventurous, but unpretentious. There is nothing quite as satisfying as an incredible meal after a long day on the water served on our custom hand made Will Malloff dining table.

WE ARE HIRING! Looking for an experienced Saltwater Guide to join our team.

Job description
Coastal Springs Float Lodge is hiring an experienced full-time saltwater fishing guide. We are a small, personalized lodge and have been in operation for 45 years. The ideal guide would have saltwater guiding experience, be very personable, safety conscious, and an team fisher who communicates well with other staff and guests alike.

We run 17.6' Double Eagle guide boats with 90hp and 115hp Yamaha outboards with 8hp kickers. Guides share their own accomodation float, seperate from the main lodge with a mix of private and shared accomodation.

The position is late mid June - mid Sept, 2023.

We offer:

What you'll need:
- Previous guiding experience
- Required certifications (SVOP, MED A3, ROC-M, First Aid)

- Conservation minded
- Works great both alone and in a team fishing atmosphere
- Able to fish!

$250-$300 p/day + tips

Signing bonus for early commitment.
